The new football season is just taking shape across most of Asia, but there were as always a number of fantastic performances across the continent!<\/p>\n

In our last Southeast Asia XI of the week (April 14-April 16), Football Tribe Asia highlights the stars of Asia\u2019s domestic leagues who helped to make an unforgettable week for fans of the beautiful game.<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper:\u00a0Kaharuddin Rahman (Negeri Sembilan – Malaysia Super League)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Injury to Negeri’s first choice goalkeeper meant that Kaharuddin Zaman was finally given an opportunity over the weekend and he performed admirably to help Negeri secure a 1-1 draw against Kelantan. Kaharuddin produced a series of important saves throughout the match and would have kept an impressive clean sheet, if not for Kelantan’s injury time equalizer through Nik Akif.<\/p>\n

Defender: Sarawut Kanlayanabandit (Pattaya United – Thai League 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sarawut Kanlayanabandit\u00a0fulfiled Lee Won Young’s position in\u00a0Pattaya Utd’s defensive line against Chonburi FC. He halted the attacking strength of opponents and his long ball from the back line helped his team a winning goal.<\/p>\n

Defender:\u00a0Jaimerson Xavier Da Silva (Persija Jakarta – Indonesia Liga 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jaime played exceptionally against one of the biggest clubs, Borneo FC. Not only kept his goal clean, he also scored with a brilliant free kick.<\/p>\n

Defender: Truong Dinh Luat (Ho Chi Minh City FC – V.League 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite 35-year-old of age, Dinh Luat still played a vital role for his team in the match against Nam Dinh as he stopped two foreign players from the opponent team.<\/p>\n

Right Winger: Phan Van Duc (Song Lam Nghe An – V.League 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

He scored 2 goals in the match against Can Tho, helped the team achieve one point in the league.<\/p>\n

Midfielder: Syahrian Abimanyu (Sriwijaya FC – Indonesia Liga 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 18 years old midfielder once again proves that he’s going to be Indonesia future. Against one of the giants, Persipura Jayapura, he played brilliantly, recorded 2 assists<\/p>\n

Midfielder: Jakkraphan Kaewprom (Buriram United – Thai League 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The playmaker from Buriram United\u00a0did a wonderful job for the team with a\u00a0clever assist to Diogo Luis Santo and created a lot of chance to help his team get 3 points from Port FC.<\/p>\n

Left-winger: Gonzalo Cabrera (Johor Darul Ta’zim – Malaysia Super League)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Johor DT needed to issue a response after their 4-0 defeat to Persija and Gonzalo Cabrera played a starring role in helping them beat PKNS FC at home last weekend. He scored two goals and initiated countless other attacks throughout the 90 minutes, to emerge as their best player on the pitch.<\/p>\n

Forward: Sandro da Silva (Kedah – Malaysia Super League)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kedah snatched a whopping 4-0 victory over Selangor last Friday and Sandro played a part in three of those goals. He scored two fantastic goals, before unselfishly laying off an assist for Akram Mahinan to grab Kedah’s fourth of goal of the night. Kedah desperately needed someone to step up and Sandro rose to the occasion on Friday night.<\/p>\n

David Da Silva (Persebaya Surabaya – Indonesia Liga 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Da Silva became Go-Jek Liga 1 2018 top scorer after he scored an impressive hattrick against PS Tira. Not only that, he also gave an assist, and contributed to all of Persebaya’s goals in 4-1 victory against PS Tira.<\/p>\n

Forward:\u00a0Oseni Bolaji (Hanoi FC – V.League 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

He scored a hat-trick in the match against SHB Danang, took his tally to 8 goals after only 5 matches.<\/p>\n

Substitution:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Goalkeeper: Dang Van Lam (Hai Phong FC – V.League 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Made 3 saves during the match between Hai Phong and Quang Nam.<\/p>\n

Center midfielder: Do Hung Dung (Hanoi FC – V.League 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hung Dung continue his fine form as a box to box midfielder, contribute a lot in the 4-0 win over SHB Danang<\/p>\n

Forward: Ho Tuan Tai (Song Lam Nghe An – V.League 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scored 2 goals, 1 in AFC Cup and 1 in V.League, help SLNA secured 1 win and 1 draw.<\/p>\n

Forward:\u00a0Bienvenido Mara\u00f1\u00f3n (Ceres Negros – Philippines Football League)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scored a hat-trick in the match against SHB Danang, took his tally to 8 goals after only 5 matches.<\/p>\n

Forward:\u00a0Bruno Silva (PSIS Semarang – Indonesia Liga 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Brazillian striker racked a hattrick and created one assist for his team. Contributed for all the goals for PSIS first victory of the season, against PSMS Medan.<\/p>\n

Forward:\u00a0Heberty Fernandes (Muangthong United – Thai League 1 )<\/strong><\/p>\n

Former Thai League top scorer tried to create a change for his\u00a0team and for himself in the\u00a0final minute. He scored a stunning goal by left foot to help Muangthong draw 2-2 and this is 5 game in a row he can put his name on the scoreboard.<\/p>\n
