Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande have revealed their plan to cut foreign signings while planning to build domestic-based squad in the next three years.<\/p>\n
The plan was announced by Evergrande boss Xu Jiayin, who also set a target to win quadruple titles this season, in a pre-season motivational conference.<\/p>\n
“Guangzhou Evergrande need to be ambitious in the 2017 season, setting our sights on four titles,” said Xu, who is a leading property development tycoon in China.<\/p>\n
“In my view, the ideal all-Chinese squad for Evergrande is composed of a world top manager and all native players.<\/p>\n
“We still have four years in the transition process. Meanwhile the all-Chinese lineup for Evergrande should be capable of winning titles, retaining the status quo,” he added.<\/p>\n
“Our purpose… is to contribute to the development of Chinese football and all our work needs to be focused on this.”<\/p>\n
