The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the South Korea counterpart in Hanoi on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The two-year partnership deal includes\u00a0cooperation on youth development, as well as coach and referee exchange programs between VFF and the Korea Football Association (KFA).<\/p>\n
In addition, the two football governing bodies agreed to send experienced trainers to support the national football academies, share experience in football management and regulations, as well as knowledge of sports medicine and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
At the signing ceremony, VFF President Le Hung Dung valued the Vietnam – South Korea football cooperation. Moreover, he praised\u00a0Vietnam national team coach\u00a0Park Hang-seo, who led the Vietnamese side to finish runners-up at the Asian Football Confederation U-23 Championship in January.<\/p>\n
For his part,\u00a0KFA president Chung Mong-gyu\u00a0expressed his admiration for the success of U-23 Vietnam team in the AFC U-23 Asian Championship campaign.\u00a0“Not only me but the Korean people are very happy and we support the success of your team,” Chung said, as quoted by An Ninh Thu Do Newspaper<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We hope Vietnam football will outperform at Asia level and achieve greater success in the future. We\u00a0will provide support for Vietnam\u2019s football development” he added.<\/p>\n On the same day, South Korean president Moon Jae-in met Vietnam’s South Korean head coach, Park Hang-seo\u00a0at VFF headquarter.<\/p>\n Mentioning about the hard-fought final<\/a> at the U-23 Asian Cup, Moon told Park, “Vietnamese players may not have had much experience of games in the snow.
