Players from Melbourne Victory trying to fix the broken net was the most bizarre moment from last week’s A-League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the match between\u00a0Melbourne Victory and the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday, in which the hosts earned the 5-2 victory,\u00a0the ball hit the side of the net and began to unravel after winger Leroy George\u2019s strike in the 64th minute.<\/p>\n

After this\u00a0comical moment, the match was delayed for few minutes as the Victory players tried to repair the dislodged netting without the support from the ground staff.<\/p>\n

Because of the height of the nets, the players had to lift\u00a0Kosta Barbarouses up,\u00a0so the New Zealand international\u00a0could apply the duct tape to secure the net.<\/p>\n

Laying on the broken netting issue, the match was extended to the record of 17 minutes of stoppage time.<\/p>\n
