South Korea Football Association (KFA) announced the appointment of Seol Ki-hyeon as the new national team assistant coach on an interim basis.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old, who is currently\u00a0Sungkyunkwan University’s first-team coach, will work with Uli Stielike from March 1 until the 2018 FIFA World Cup games.<\/p>\n
“It is an honor to have an opportunity to dedicate to the national team,” Seol told KFA official website.<\/p>\n
“I’d like to make a contribution to the National Team based on various experiences I gained while playing in both Europe and Korea.”<\/p>\n
Seol scored 19 goals in 82 matches for South Korea and competed in 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cup. He retired as a player in 2014 after spending 14-year domestic and overseas career in England and Belgium.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
