Former Japanese national team striker Kazuyoshi Miura has signed a new contract at J.League (J2) side Yokohama FC ahead of his 51st birthday next month.<\/p>\n
Miura, who broke Stanley Matthews’ record as the oldest professional to score a goal last year, will enter his 33rd season of his professional career this year.<\/p>\n
His new terms came after King Kazu played 2 games for Yokohama in the J2 league, scoring a solitary goal and broke his own record as the J.League’s oldest scorer.<\/p>\n
I’ve signed a contract extension for this season. I will always play my heart out and hope to continue to grow (as a player),” Miura told Kyodo news agency.<\/p>\n
