Valencia CF’s manager, Albert Celades promised to give more playing time for the Korean youngster, Lee Kang-in.

In his interview with ‘EFE’, the 44 years old said “Lee needs to learn a lot more. I will provide more opportunity for players from the academy and play them at suitable positions”.

Furthermore, ‘EFE’ compared Celades with the previous manager by commenting, “the previous manager of Valencia, Marcelino García Toral used to agree on sending the 18-year-old on loan. He did not feel the need to have Lee on the first-team squad and wished to let him gain experience in the other clubs”.

Upon appointment of the new manager, Celades, the Korean midfielder was played 11 out of 14 games, starting two of them. Also, the Golden Boy award nominee scored his first goal for the team during the 6th round of the league game against Getafe CF.

In the meantime, Lee has been called up to the Korea national team squad to face Lebanon and Brazil for the upcoming International fixtures.
