3 – Santiago Cañizares

In 2002, he was in prime position to be chosen as Spain’s goalkeeper at the World Cup. But, due to a very unpleasant injury, he wasn’t able to defend Spain’s goal during that tournament.

After shaving his beard, he dropped his shaving lotion which accidentally hit his leg.

This injury to the Ankle joint was the reason why at that time Iker Casillas was chosen as the main keeper of the Spanish national team.
