Hanoi returns to their home stadium to face Saigon FC in Round 13 of V.League as their squad hammered by injuries and fatigue.

First choice center-back Tran Dinh Trong will miss the rest of the season after suffering an injury. Additionally, a lot of first-team players have succumbed to fatigue problems such as Quang Hai, Duy Manh, Van Hau, and Van Cong. A number of their key players recently featured for the Vietnamese National Team in the King’s Cup in Thailand last week.

These difficulties for Hanoi will be to the advantage of league leaders Ho Chi Minh City, as they face Thanh Hoa at home. Another win will put Ho Chi Minh City in the driving seat for the title this season as the second leg commences.

Another pairing will be expected to attract a lot of attention will be the match at Cua Ong stadium between Than Quang Ninh and Hai Phong – the game that has been described as the “northeast derby” in the V.League. Both teams will be out searching ferociously for the win, as they have not secured all three points in both of the last two rounds.
