Kuala Lumpur will meet PKNP FC in the upcoming match, with the capital club welcoming new striker Ahmad Fakri Saarani to the club.

This new addition to the squad was officially announced social media. The club’s twitter (Kuala Lumpur FA @kualalumpurfa) and Facebook (Kuala Lumpur Hawks) accounts announced the signing of former the Melaka United player, Ahmad Fakri in the second round of the Malaysia League 2019.

The club has deemed Fakri as a diligent striker seeking a chance to score in every game. “Thank god, Fakri’s entry (Ahmad Fakri Saarani) will help the team when many players are injured,” said Kuala Lumpur captain, Indra Putra Mahayuddin. “Fakri has the potential to score if he gets a good match, he’s always working hard,” he said.

He also asked his teammates to stay strong and fight for points in the Super League, despite sitting second from bottom having collected 11 points from their opening 14 games. “I hope my teammates do not give up and confident with our ability. We have to work harder and avoid being in the area of ​​relegation,” he said.

Ahead of their meeting with PKNP FC at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, Cheras, on May 26, Indra Putra urged his teammates to stay focused. “We need to take advantage of playing at home to collect three points,” he said.
