PSM Makassar will be chasing a minimum 2-0 win against Bhayangkara FC in Mattoanging stadium Friday (3/5) as The Guardians winning 4-2 in Jakarta during their last meeting. Juku Eja will have additional fatigue to deal with after an exhausting trip from Bogor in the AFC Cup game.

Meanwhile, Mario Gomez and Stefano Cugurra with both be looking their second wins against their respective former clubs.

Gomez’s Borneo FC and Cugurra’s Bali United both earned 2-1 wins on their home field against Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta respectively. Borneo will play against Maung Bandung on Saturday (4/5) while Bali meets Persija in Bekasi the day after.

Finally, the match between Madura United and Persebaya Surabaya still awaits rescheduling. The first leg of this tie was canceled due to the issues of security after the national election. If these same issues persiset, why the second leg in West Java (Bandung and Bekasi) can be held, while the match in East Java (Madura and Surabaya) can’t? It is a frankly ridiculous situation, made all the more difficult by the fact that the domestic league is scheduled to start on the 15th of May.
