Buriram United star striker Diogo Luis Santo has been signed by Malaysia Super League Champions Johor Darul Ta’zim ahead of the 2019 season.
The deal was announced via the clubs official social media pages, just days after rumours began to surface about his possible departure.
Over the course of his four seasons with the Thunder Castle, Diogo managed to score a staggering 101 goals from just 105 appearances, winning nine major honours along the way. The Brazilian was a talisman for the club, leading from the front as Buriram established themselves as the Thailand’s best club.
Diogo’s move to the Malaysian Champions sets them in good stead ahead of their first AFC Champions League group stage campaign. The side have already added Lazio defender Mauricio and Real Oviedo attacker Aaron Niguez to their lineup, demonstrating their major ambitions ahead of next season.
