Fabio Cannavaro becomes highest paid manager in Chinese Super League

Guangzhou Evergrande manager Fabio Cannavaro is the highest paid manager in Chinese Super League, according to report from Daily Mail.

The Guangzhou Evergrande boss earns £10.6million annually, which is the highest amount a manager in the Chinese Super League is paid.

The figure also means that Cannavaro is the fourth highest paid manager in the world, following China national head coach Marcello Lippi, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola and Manchester United Jose Mourinho.

In Chinese Super League, Manuel Pellegrini and Fabio Capello claimed the second spot behind Cannavaro in the highest-paid coach figures, with £10 million annually for each.

The 44-year-old Italian tactician assumes his duties in Evergrande for the next season after succeeding Luiz Felipe Scolari, who stepped down after the seventh consecutive Chinese Super League’s triumph.
