Sisaket FC chairman: The club not involved in match-fixing

Sisaket FC chairman Thanet Kruerat claimed four of his players were involved in match-fixing despite insisting that the club “never been involved” in this malpractice.

According to reports from Football Association of Thailand (FAT) on Tuesday, Sisaket director Cherdsak Boonchu was among 12 people charged with the match-fixing allegations.

“I have to apologize that an official from our team was allegedly involved in match-fixing,” said Taneth in the Wednesday press conference, as quoted by The Nation Multimedia.

But I guarantee our club has nothing to do with such illegal behavior and I fully support authorities in using extreme measures to punish these people if they are found guilty,” he added.

On the other hand, the chairman said he knew Therdsak only because someone asked him to find a job at the club for him.

After that, Therdsak linked four Sisaket players with allegedly fixing results of the League Cup game against Ubon UMT United on July 26.
