Thailand goalkeeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool announces retirement from national team duty

Thailand veteran goalkeeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool announced his early retirement from international football after the 2-1 defeat against Australia in 2018 World Cup qualification on Tuesday night.

Sinthaweechai signs off his international with 78 caps from 15 years representing the War Elephants. The 35-year-old has been serving the country in almost every level U19, U23 and senior squad respectively.

Currently competing in Thai League 1 in Suphanburi outfit, Sinthaweechai is best remembered for his time at Chonburi from 2007 to 2015, where he made over 230 appearances for the club.

In December 2015, the Sakon Nakhon-born joined Suphanburi in the 15-million-baht deal, which broke the record as the most expensive domestic transfer in Thai football history.
