Honduras coach accuses Australia of spying his team’s training

Honduras coach Jorge Luis Pinto has accused Australia of spying his team’s training sessions ahead of the crucial 2018 World Cup play-off on Wednesday, as reported by Reuters.

On Monday, Honduran National Football Federation posted on Twitter the footage of a drone flying above Sydney’s Olympic Stadium, where Honduras were conducting their training sessions.

“Let’s not be innocent, it’s espionage in football,” Pinto told reporters through a translator on Tuesday.

“When Australia went to Honduras, they checked every bathroom, every box at the stadium where they trained.

“It just takes some of the merits away from the fair play and the sporting event that will be held tomorrow.”
