Andik Vermansah bids farewell to Selangor FA

Indonesian star Andik Vermansah bid an emotional farewell to Selangor FA after spending his last four seasons with the Malaysian Super League outfit.

Through a post on his Instagram, the 25-year-old winger confirmed that Selangor would not renew his current contract which run out at the end of this month.

“There is always a departure in every arrival. Four seasons with Selangor, that was the reason why my tears fell down in the last game because there were good and bad memories in the big family of Selangor. (I cried) not because (my contract) won’t be extended, but its because the customary of football,” he wrote.

“I am very grateful to all Selangor fans, all of my supporters in Malaysia and all of Indonesian workers in Malaysia and my friends who love me.

“And I don’t know why, Selangor is like my hometown and I feel hard to leave this city because I met many good people and lots of new friends there.”

Andik was forced out of action since last December after helping the Indonesia national team reached the AFF Suzuki Cup final, before returning to the pitch in the final weeks of MSL this season.
