Japanese referee who broke world record for fastest red card decision to officiate in V.League 1

Vietnam Football Company (VPF) has employed foreign referee for key matches of V-League in the second stage of the season to prevent match-fixing behaviors, according to local media.

Firsthand, Japanese referee Jumpei Iida will conduct an undisclosed match in round 21, which will be held from October 13 to October 15.

Iida has been recognized as a FIFA referee since 2011 and has officiated in many tournaments held by the Asian Football Confederation, including the 2018 World Cup qualification event, the AFC Cup, and the AFC Champions League.

The Japanese also broke the world record for fastest red card decision during the J-League 1 match between Tokyo Verdy and Sagan Tosu in April 2009.
