Omar Abdulrahman out of UAE’s crucial World Cup qualifiers

UAE star Omar Abdulrahman will miss the crucial upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Iraq on Tuesday.

The 2016 AFC Player of the Year was also absent when UAE won 2-1 over high-flying Saudi Arabia last week.

Omar is currently in Barcelona and would remain in Spain to continue his medical treatment in order to recover his ankle problem.

UAE are currently in fourth place of Group B and they must beat Iraq at Amman International Stadium to maintain theur World Cup dream.

However, they would also hang a fate on Australia and Saudi Arabia’s results plus elicit swings of either six or eight in goal difference if they are to gate crash group’s top three.
