Two Myanmar fans assaulted after Malaysia defeat

Two Myanmar football supporters were assault at the SEA Games match against Malaysia on Monday.

Police reported the Myanmar fans were punched and kicked in the face and body outside Shah Alam Stadium. One of them was admitted to hospital and another left after treatment.

As reported by The Sun Daily, Shah Alam district police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said that police had received information about the incident by members of the public and have already begun investigations to find the suspects who are responsible for the attack.

“Both the victims, aged 29 and 34 have sustained injuries on the face and body because of being punched and kicked repeatedly by the suspects,” he said.
