Guangzhou Evergrande join the race to sign Diego Costa

Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande are considering a proposal to sign Chelsea striker Diego Costa on a six-month loan deal, according to Don Balon.

The struggling striker ís speculated to sign a €45million deal with the Chinese Super League side. However, Don Balon stated that Guangzhou Evergrande were still mulling over the options for where the Brazilian will be playing for the first six months when the club’s transfer ban is still in force.

There have been rumors that Evergrande’s rivals, Tianjin Quanjian, have joined the race of signing Costa since the beginning of this year.

The 28-year-old is currently training alone in Brazil after refusing to return to England and practice with Chelsea’s development team.

In a recent exclusive interview, Costa revealed his hope to move to former club Atletico Madrid in January when the La Liga outfit’s transfer ban is lifted.
