Dominant Indonesia U-22 crush Philippines in SEA Games

Indonesia U-22 registered a convincing 3-0 victory over Philippines U-22 team in the second game of Gropu B’s 2017 SEA Games on Thursday.

Septian David Maulana, who also scored in the first game in a 1-1 draw against Thailand, gave the Young Garuda an early lead at Shah Alam Stadium with an excellent strike just seven minutes after kick-off.

As the first half came to a close, Muhammad Hargianto slotted the ball into Philippines net after receiving a decent pass from Saddil Ramdani.

Luis Milla’s men widened the gap after Saddil Ramdani sent a powerful right foot kick from out of the box in the 59th minute which went through Young Azkals goalie Ray Joseph.

Indonesia are currently in second place in the group with four points following Vietnam, while Philippines sit at fourth place.
