Thailand women’s football team coach complains poor training condition at Malaysia

Thailand women’s football team coach Spencer Prior has complained about the poor training condition at Malaysia, claiming his team were kicked off the pitch after only 15 minutes of training.

“Never been to such an unorganized tournament at this upcoming SEA Games,” said Prior via his Twitter account, reported by The New Straits Times.

“We’ve only been here 24hrs… I’m sure it will get better. (It) would help if we could train the day before the first game though.” he added.

“(Now) back on the bus to find a training pitch. Unfortunately the one we had booked had also been booked by Vietnam. Keep smiling.

“(There was) a slight confusion as I was informed the new pitch was 3km away. It’s actually 30km away!!!!

“We trained for 15 minutes then got kicked off by the team we are playing tomorrow (Myanmar), who had booked the pitch. No longer smiling.”

However, the British coach has been confident of being crowned with SEA Games title.

“We have prepared the team for many months for this tournament and I believe that every player is fit and ready for the competition,” he said, as quoted by Bangkok Post.

“Every player is ready for the first game with Myanmar and I am confident that the team will pick up three points. We are here to win the gold medal.”
