Malaysia U-22 announced final 20-man squad for SEA Games

Malaysia U22 head coach Ong Kim Swee has finalized the 20-man squad for the 27th SEA Games on Saturday afternoon.

He has dropped 8 players, including Amierul Hakimi Awang (Terengganu), Raphi Azizan (PJ Rangers), Danial Ashraf (Kelantan), Sean Eugene Selvaraj (Negeri Sembilan), Dominic Tan (Johor Darul Ta’zim), Tommy Mawat (Sarawak), Ahmad Azriddin Rosli (Felda United) and Ahmad Khairil Anuar (Perak), from the training camp.

However, Amierul will stay with the squad for the entirety SEA Games campaign as the competition rules allow for a change of goal keeper in case one of the two selected suffers an injury during the tournament.

Malaysia will have one more training session before the opening Group A match against Brunei at Shah Alam Stadium.
