Chinese investor wants to buy stakes of Manchester United – Reports

An unnamed Chinese billionaire has expressed interests in buying a stake in the Manchester United Football Club, according to the Sunday Times.

Reportedly, the buyer has contacted some of Manchester United’s independent shareholders in an attempt to purchase a holding in the English Premier League club.

Reports also said that several negotiators, working on behalf of the Chinese billionaire, have been in touch with Manchester United shareholders in the past few weeks.

The Glazer family owns control around 80 percent of the club, while the rest is held by investment funds in New York and London.
