Cambodian young football talents compete in Australia tournament

20 young Cambodian football players will have chance to compete in an international youth level football competition in Australia next year.

Those players have been selected from the Football Future Pro Coaching Academy in Phnom Penh, which was established by former Boeung Ket Angkor coach John McGlynn in 2015.

According to Keila Daily, the 20 candidates will be selected in a try-out in the academy this month to complete the squad.

“Participating in this tournament is a great opportunity for the young football players of Cambodia. They will be able to compete in a qualified environment and have great experience,” McGlynn said.

At the moment, the Scottish coach is looking for a sponsor to bring out the Cambodian football talents to Australia.
