Hernanes leaves Hebei China Fortune to join former club Sao Paolo

Brazilian midfielder Hernanes has rejoined his former club Sao Paulo on a year-long loan from Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune.

An official announcement on this deal was broken via the Sao Paolo’s official Twitter account on Wednesday. “By the dawn of a new day, the prophecy was fulfilled: Hernandes are coming back!” the Twitter said.

The 32-year-old moved to Asia in February after falling out of favor under Max Allegri in Italy with Juventus during the first half of the season.

However, the former Brazilian international struggled to make much of an impact at Hebei China Fortune as he made just six appearances for the new club

Previously, Hernandes played 215 matches in six seasons at Sao Paulo. He joined Lazio in 2010 before moving to Inter Milan in 2014 and then Juventus the following year.
