Australian star Aaron Mooy admitted that he has no idea what his future holds for next season despite still under contract at Manchester City.
The 26-year-old midfielder spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Huddersfield Town and played a key role as his team clinched promotion to the English Premier League next season.
Rumours in England said that Mooy is on several Premier League clubs’ radar, but the former Melbourne City man is uncertain about his future.
“I have no idea,” he told reporters on Monday.
“It’s a little bit exciting. But you want to know what you’re doing, of course, you don’t want to wait until the last minute.”
Previously, Mooy was tight-lipped on his future with Manchester City, but said that thoughts of playing in the Premier League is always in his mind.
“I can’t say anything. I have to speak to my agent and Manchester City,” he said when asked about his future at Pep Guardiola’s squad.
“I just try my best and see where it takes me and of course, I’ve always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.”
