FIFA Rankings: Philippines top AFF, Vietnam jump five places

The international FIFA rankings for May have been released. Iran are still top of the AFC division. Meanwhile, the Philippines retain their lead over the other AFF member countries.

The AFC rankings remain largely unchanged, although Iran drop two places, from 28th to 30th in the overall table.

South Korea (43rd), Japan (45th) and Australia (48th) are in pursuit but still quite some distance off the pace.

The Philippines (126th) narrowly lead a pack consisting of Thailand (127th), Vietnam (131th), Malaysia (155th) and Singapore (157th).

The Philippines are in action in June away to Tajikistan so they will most likely be able to enjoy the tag of South East Asia’s best side for a while longer.
