AFC Champions League: Kashima Antlers win Group E, FC Seoul edge Urawa Reds

J1 League Kashima Antlers defeated Thailand’s Muangthong United 2-1 in their Group E match at Kashima Soccer Stadium on Wednesday.

The Antlers’ goals were both scored by Yuma Suzuki while Teerasil Dangda was on target for Muangthong.

The other Group E clash saw Ulsan Hyundai claim a 3-2 win over Brisbane Roar FC.

Jamie Young got the scoring underway with an own-goal on nine minutes before Jamie Maclaren bagged a brace to turn the tides for Brisbane on 18 and 37 minutes.

But Nam Hee-Cheol equalised for the visitors on 54 minutes before Kim Yong-Jin secured all three points with his goal on 75 minutes.

After today’s results, Antlers won the group with 12 points followed by Muangthong with 11. In the third spot with seven points is Ulsan Hyundai, followed by Brisbane Roar on four.
