Indian side Mohun Bagan has recorded an important 4-1 victory over Club Valencia of Maldives thanks to a strong performance by Jeje Lalpekhlua.
The result helped Mohun Bagan to a 5-2 victory on aggregate, cementing their progress in the qualifications.
With I-League champions Bengaluru FC getting an automatic berth in the AFC Cup, India will have the same teams in Asia’s second-tier tournament from last year.
Meanwhile, Khosilot Parkhar suffered a 2-1 defeat on aggregate against Dordoi Bishkek.
Dordoi will play against Kyrgyzstan’s Alay Osh, Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr FK and Tajikistan’s Istiklol in the group D of the competition.
